Soto Women's Cowboy Boots with Inlay Design - Western Style Leather Cowgirl Boots for Riding, Dancing & Country Fashion (Model M50048)

The boots are super cool looking, but as soon as I opened the box the smell was overwhelming— I’m not quite sure the smell of the leather would ever dissipate— also the bottom of boots are really slippery- the heel is fine- but the upper half almost like they were hard plastic- I had to return ?They arrived with a chunk of leather missing on the upper part of 1 of the the boots. Amazon was fantastic about replacing them, thank god!! Also, when oiling them with neatsfoot oil I noticed the seam coming apart. I had only worn them once. For such a pretty boot, it's a shame they weren't made better. Other than that, they are quite comfortable and good looking. I have painful bunions but they didn't bother me at all in these boots. I've gotten plenty of compliments on them. The pair they sent to replace them seems better. Time will tell and I will be glad to update how well they wear. I hope this helps you to understand, it might be a bit of a "crap-shoot" buying these but at least Amazon stands behind them. (Yayyy!!) So far so good!! I washed the boots w saddle soap, went over them by hand with Neatsfoot Oil and then waxed with Kiwi shoe wax after I custom colored them...so please undersrand, this is not the color they came in. I did that myself.. (I think it makes them look "richer". I get compliments on them often and they are very comfortable!! I am glad I got the second pair, I LOVE them. I will try to repair the first pair but I'm not "holding my breath". Hope this helps.These are so comfortable and edgy. The only issue I had was the inside of the top had some rough finishes that I had to cut/ file down to prevent my leg from getting scratched up while walking in them. I think they burnt the ends of the threads after they finished sewing on the pull up loops so that the threads couldn’t come undone. No harm in being sure of the details and quality of these beautiful boots. I’ve never seen anything like them before! SOTO boots are my new favorite brand! Handmade, the leather smells amazing, and craftsmanship & comfort is incredible. This is my second pair (different style) from this company.Now these boots stand out . Love the design the inlay . But after contacting I was able to get a brand new PERFECT pair. Really nice w the dark brown/black:) Happy w them, but be observant!So I fell in love with these at first sight. I read another review that they were hard to put on if you have a high arch (which I do) but I had no problem getting into them! They are just incredible. The style/price/quality ratio cannot be beat. Real cowboy boots with that extra somethingOpened box and the aroma of boot oil got me going. Boots are gorgeous, understatement. I am breaking in wearing around house as ankle area is a bit snug but will be perfect once stretched.
