I had been searching for the most comfortable shoes for my Italy trip. I waited til the last minute and i came across these booties and i took my chances they arrived the day before i left. I love all my clark shoes and they are true to size these however are a 1/2 size too big. I took them anyways and to my surprise they were so comfortable NO need to break them in. It was raining and all the uneven cobble stone didn't matter because I was wearing my mighty leather Clarks. I survived two weeks of intense walking (10 miles a day I did alternate with another pair of shoes) They kept me warm and at the same time stylish with the perfect heel size . I want to buy the brown ones now :) Oh and with some good med. socks the size is just right since I don't like my boots fitting too tight.I ordered these and the Malia Charter boots. The Gelata had better reviews and most people said they ran large and would be good to use with an insert. I was hoping they would be more comfortable than the Malia ones, because they were the Artisan line of Clarks. The Gelata just did not have the comfortable support that I had hoped for. But the Malia ones are cuter and more comfortable. I ordered a 9.5 in both. Needed real comfort for a trip to London, Paris and Edinburgh. Want to be able to wear all day. Clarks are my go-to shoe. Only kind I buy. My feet just can't be comfortable in any other brand!I usually wear 6.5 and ordered a 7 based on the reviews I read. It fits perfectly while wearing a pair of dress socks (thinner than a sport sock, thicker than nylons). They are comfortable to wear all day long walking around the city. The first pair I ordered had color that seemed mismatched. I think one boot had been cut from a dry bit of leather compared to the other boot. I know to expect imperfections with leather, but the discoloration made one boot look older & more worn than the other. I requested for a replacement which arrived quickly and I was able to ship back the pair I first pair at no cost to me.These boots are super cute. As far as they look, I am thrilled. However, the quality isn't the best. The leather doesn't feel very good and they are VERY easily scratched/scuffed. The heel also feels like it isn't going to hold up. I used a waterproofing leather spray on these and it didn't discolor/change the color of the leather. I wore them all day the first time I wore them and they were very comfortable. I love them, I just wish the quality was a little better as far as the feel/look of the leather and the heel construction.Oh my goodness. I read reviews and was a bit concerned about what size to order. I have been a 7.5, and that is what I ordered. I could not be more pleased. Fit well, just snug. Put on thin sock and wore just around the house for a day, with the upper leather, they loosened just enough to make the fit absolutely perfect for me. Love, love, love them. Am going to be walking around DC in a couple of months and plan to wear these can have NO concerns about it.These boots have a slightly decorative back/side area that dresses them up. Can wear casual or dressy.I LOVE THESE BOOTS! I wore them all fall and winter last year. These are the most comfortable dressy boots I've had. But they can also be dressed down - they look great with everything. They have pretty good arch support - I even wore them around Rome on the cobblestone streets for a few hours. Granted I wouldn't recommend doing that for several days - but for a day at the office or walking around for a few hours these shoes are great! I found them to be true to size and the leather is beautiful. These have become a staple wardrobe item for me and I'll be buying a black pair this fall!I usually wear an 8.5 normal width and these feel very true to size. I wanted something I can walk 7-10 miles in when I travel. The boots are really cute and well made. They can be dressed up or down. I took away a star because it was really obvious that someone had worn them around already. The bottom was a little scuffed and the leather was very wrinkled across the toes. Also took away a star because they're not as supportive as I had hoped. I'm used to super supportive footwear -- I wear Birkenstocks in the summer and Patagonia's Better Clog boots in the winter. These don't have nearly as much arch support. I put an Orthaheel insert into them and that really helped. I don't feel like I have to spend days breaking them in before an upcoming trip which is a positive.Overall, they're cute, comfortable and well-made boots, but they were a bit too roomy. I've bought several pairs of Clarks shoes in the same size which all fit perfectly, so this was a surprise. A thicker pair of socks would probably do the trick. However, the darker shading over the toe area was more obvious than it appeared in the photo, and I found I didn't like the decidedly western look on me, so I'm returning them.I purchased these boots in black in a 1/2 size bigger than my normal 5. The fit accommodates a sock. The boots are comfortable. I have a high instep and have trouble getting my foot into boots. I have no trouble with these. The zipper works well. I have always been happy with Clarks and I am happy with this purchase.These boots are really nice and fit as expected. My only complaint is that the leather heal is faded and almost a greyish green colour compared to the rest of the boot. I'm sure this can be corrected with black polish, but annoying to have to address any issues on a new purchase.Extremely comfortable! I've been wearing them every day for the past 3 weeks to walk in to work (40 minutes each way), and they are like walking on pillows. Plus they look professional and go with everything! Win-win-win. I am usually a 6 or a 6.5, and got a 6 in these since I find Clarks fit a bit big. They fit perfectly.Received ahead of schedule. Shipping was fast. Fits well and looks great. Goes well with any dress or pants. Easy to clean, just wipe off with fiber cloth. If really dirty, use leather cleaner.They fit well and we're pleasantly cushy inside. Would likely be nice to walk in long term, but I just didn't like the look. The brown is a bit lighter than pictured and they seem a bit clunky. I returned them.
