It’s hard enough to find my husband size 16 however this is how this boot was shipped. It looked like this right out the box.The boots I received were not even a choice. I ordered the brown. After unboxing there are multiple issues with the boots like inconsistent color from one boot to the other as well as some other quality problems. I really like Dan Post boots just not these boots. My Dan Post Alamosas are leaps and bounds nicer than these in every area.I am used to boots that are all leather (soles, lining, except the stitching)and these have some man-made components. However, they are very comfortable and break in quickly. They run a bit big but I'm not sure it's a full size bigger. (If you can't decide between 8 and 8.5, go for the 8.)The left boot was tight across the instep initially, but after a few days, was quite comfortable. After 5-6 days breaking in at home and locally, I walked an hour to work and back again with no problems. The actual boot is a bit stiffer than I like perhaps they will relax some with wear. They are a great choice for casual and fashion wear. I was a bit suspicious because the price is pretty low but they look and feel great.I normally love the feel and fit of Dan Post boots. But these felt great. But ripped with in the first 45 mins of wearing them. They did look nice a feel great. Just for $500 I expect better qualityThe left boot for perfect, but the right was so tight I couldn't get my foot in. I have never had this issue with any boots before. Really wished these would have fit, I liked the look.Other issue is the pull loops feel real weak, I was afraid they were going to tear off while I was trying to get the right boot on.husband loved these boots very nice for dressing upThe picture shown for the brown option is not correct. The boots I received did not look like the picture. The one shown is “chocolate” per Dan Post.I could not pass these boots up because the price was just so good but I was surprised to find out that I liked them as much as I do. They are very comfortable and I do get a lot of compliments on them. I am normally a 8 1/2 and ordered these in a 8...they fit perfect. I would definitively say they run at least 1/2 size big.
